Aeris as Hit Girl by Christian-Lee Aeris as Hit Girl by Christian-Lee
Here is the Hit Girl costume I made for my daughter. I made it mostly from Purple Vinyl and Velveteen. She wore it for Free Comic Book Day and I hope to convince her to wear it at Connecticon 2010

That's terrific! Wow! I went as a grown-up Hit Girl this Halloween, but nothing as amazing as this.

Your daughter as Hit Girl is one of the cutest things I've ever seen, and has become quite the hit within the Kick-Ass cosplay community, believe me. ;)

Can you tell us anything about how you made her weapon? It's one of the nicest ones I've seen, even among adult costumers!

The ends are made from silver foam toy swords you can find at a dollar store or Voldemart. I twisted them off the handles the came with and hot glued them onto the ends of a black painted dowel. I then used a razor blade and a dremel tool to shape the the foam to the right shape.

That's it. I'm glad you like it!
